Late 1980's Clark-Bobcat 825 Skid Steer For Sale – Runs & Operates – Great Project Machine – $5,500

We are selling our older farm Bobcat skid steer. It starts, runs, drives, and operates as it should, and we still use it regularly around the farm. We are only selling because it’s time for a newer machine.

The engine has developed an occasional knock, so this would be a great opportunity for someone mechanical or someone looking for a solid skid steer at an affordable price. A mechanic suggested it may have been injector-related, so all 4 injectors were replaced, but the knock is still there. I personally believe it may be timing-related.

The machine has had several repairs and updates over the years, including:

Hydraulic pump rebuilt approximately 4 years ago

2 hydraulic rams recently rebuilt (1 boom cylinder and 1 bucket cylinder)

New alternator

New starter solenoid

Good tires

All hydraulics work well

Included with the skid steer:

Fork attachment (one fork slightly bent)

Extra digging bucket with teeth

I checked online and found complete engine overhaul kits available for around $900 that include sleeves, pistons, rods, and more. These Perkins engines are very popular in fork lifts and farm implements. You may be able to find a used engine.

This would make a great farm machine, project skid steer, or inexpensive loader for someone willing to do a little work.
