ZelleAbt. 5.5 foot long, 6 yrs old, Jungle color with beautiful unique coral tints, healthy, active, good shedder, good live rat eater, gentle, kids can hold. This is a very interactive snake that likes to move around when held, but very slowly and gently. I love to put her around my neck while doing the housework. She’s very curious, gentle, and the kids and grandkids like to hold her. She has never struck a human, nevertheless is a very good eater. Tags her rats within minutes of them entering her cage. Takes 2 to 3 large rats every couple of months. She’s my fifth red tail, and I would never buy another breed of snake. The man who got me started on them, gave me the good advice, “if you want a snake that will just sit there in a ball on your lap, get a ball python. If you want one that will interact with you and move around, a Colombian red tail boa constrictor will be your best bet and is the only one that I will ever buy.” Me too!! We are moving and are very sad to have to sell her. You’re getting a bargain with this one. Saw one for over $2000 at the pet store without the cage, table and everything. She’s been handled a lot by people and is a joy.
