This is a one-off mini drifter. 12' long 2 person boat. The boat was built to be light and strong, designed for small shallow rivers. It weighs a little over 100 lbs so it can be hand launched. It is laminated in West Systems epoxy using multiple bi-axial (1708) fiberglass layers, with a layer of 6 oz Kevlar sandwiched between.
Epoxy, compaired to polyester resin is 30-40% stronger. It has a much better chemical bond with the glass fabric, so it is torsionally more rigid too. The Kevlar layer on the bottom and lower sides provides superb puncture resistance from rock strikes. A Rino Lining layer completes the bottom to make it ding and scratch resistant.
Lightweight and easy to row, it feels a little "twitchy" on big water like the South Fork of the Snake (5-6000 cfs) but perfect for smaller river flows and still sections.
This is an 'expermental' model that lacks USCG certification. It comes with a trailer but it also will fit in the bed of a full size truck. $1,000 obo. Greg. txt or email is best
