PayPalI bought two of these quarter draft colts, Shire/ Quarter horse father and quarter horse mother from southern Wyoming last year, a weanling and yearling. I brought them home and got them gelded, their wolf teeth pulled, and up to date on vaccines. We have started the older one and he’s been super easy to get going. With both my boys leaving for college and a church mission, having two colts to start is more than I want to deal with.
They were fresh off the range and untouched but they have come around and have been easy to teach to lead and this one’s older brother hasn’t been tough to saddle up and start at all. His older brother hasn’t even bucked and I’m sure this one will be the same way. With his size he’ll be ready to saddle up this fall for sure. If I wasn’t riding his brother I would have already saddled this one up to get him started.
He’s in a large corral here so he’s easy to catch and come up to you but he seems to like to be around people and follows us around.
I have him listed at $1800obo and I’m not interested in any trades at this time. This colt is in Lehi Utah
