ZelleCrafted for the Utah Centennial celebrations in 1947, this Utah Ceramics figure of a pioneer woman is dressed in 19th-century style and holds a bundle of wheat in her arms. The statue is glazed porcelain, about 7-3/4 inches high, mostly white, with the wheat bundle painted golden yellow, and under her bonnet a faint touch of gray or a dark color to suggest her hair. The details are finely molded. The bottom is stamped with the Utah Ceramics logo, an encircled C, "Utah Ceramics" and the name "Florence" ;it is marked "17" near the name. The figure is in as perfect condition as I can determine, with no other marks or chips of any kind.
