18-19 year old grade mare for sale. I had her listed previously but kept getting no shows, so took her down for a while. I’m not sure why she’s still for sale at this price honestly. She’s about 14-14.1 hands so on the smaller side, but is very stocky. Has tons of mane and tail. She was my son’s go to horse and she treated him well. (He was 12 and has outgrown her) She crosses everything and will walk out alone or in a group. Not mare-ish in the slightest. She was primarily a trail horse, but has been used to rope both in an arena and on the trail. She, despite being small, will out walk a lot of other horses. Now her down side. I’ve come to accept them, and love her for what she is. She doesn’t like to be first in the trailer. Second, third no problem. First? Ehhhh sometimes. She will not stand for the farrier. I do sedate her and she currently needs trimmed. However, she doesn’t need shoes. Her feet are rock hard. I have a dose of sedation to go with her to get them done. We trimmed her three times a year and she’s always done really well with that schedule. (She’s full Mustang but not branded) She also can hang back when being cinched. Not always, but it’s happened. I’ve not ridden her in years at this point, so I cannot speak to how she’s been with time off, I imagine a good ride will have her back to minding, if she even needs it. Like I mentioned, she was my son’s horse and also the grandma ride. Other than that, she is a sweetheart and goes where you point her. If you can over look her flaws, she is a terrific horse, and doesn’t require any maintenance. Currently eating A- hay cubes. She is a super easy keeper and eats whatever is thrown her way. She’s done fine on pasture, alfalfa, grass hay and cubes. (All at different times and stayed fat) If the listing is up she’s available. Bring a trailer. She’s ON SALE! Located in Saint George
