Eleven year old smaller mare needs a new home. Linda stands under 14 hands and has been a ranch horse for several years. She is fearless on the trail. She has worked cows in the open and sorted in the corral. She is not a beginners horse as she was extremely spoiled when I got her and she will take advantage of an inexperienced rider. She is easy to catch (even in a very large area) and is easy to groom and tack. Her price reflects the fact that she is showing signs of navicular but it seems manageable with an annual osphos shot (given last week) and bute when ridden. She is highly intelligent and could easily be trained to do tricks. She gets along well with other horses (fits in the middle of the herd) and does not buck or bite (although she was previously hand fed treats and is always looking for them). She is very responsive to a rider's use of their seat for communication. Because of her early training she is not terribly soft in the bit but an experienced rider can easily manage her in a soft snaffle. She probably shouldn't have a rider over 150 pounds. She would likely be well suited for simple cowboy dressage, working equitation, feedlot work and easy trail rides and cow work. She is UTD on worming, vaccinations and hoof care. Freshly shod on her front feet, I have ridden this horse many miles and hate to part with her but feel she can't handle the rough country I ride in. I will be particular about her new home. Please call or text for more information.
