Meet Henry, a 9.5-year-old dog with a big heart and so much love left to give.
Henry is the kind of dog who loves being close to his people. He enjoys cuddling, playing with squeaky toys, spending time outdoors, and is highly food and pet motivated. He is affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he's with someone he trusts.
I recently took Henry in after his owner became too ill to continue caring for him. I had lived with Henry when he was younger and was excited to give him a safe, loving home for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, my own living situation changed suddenly and unexpectedly. After less than a week together, I have come to the heartbreaking realization that I cannot keep him.
Henry deserves a stable home where he can thrive during his golden years.
What Henry is looking for:
Henry has lived with other dogs on several occasions, but conflicts were a recurring issue. He struggles with resource guarding, including occasionally guarding his person, so he would do best as the only pet in the home. I do not know how he does with small children, as he has never lived with them to my knowledge.
Current medical concerns:
Despite these challenges, Henry remains a loving, affectionate dog who wants nothing more than companionship and a place to belong.
This is not an easy decision, and finding the right home is my top priority. If you think you might be a good match for Henry, or know someone who could provide him with the loving home he deserves, please reach out.
Henry has already been through a lot. Help him find the peaceful, forever home he deserves for his next chapter.
I work during the day and, while I carry my phone with me most of the time, I can not take unscheduled phone calls. I can respond to text more quickly than a phone call. I don't check messages on KSL as frequently as my phone but I'll most likely log in after 6pm every day.
