ZelleI have recently retired after 12 years from teaching youth students, Primer-Advanced Level, and am beginning a new venture teaching a 10-Week Adult Beginner Course. Space is limited. Courses may be extended after completion.
Whether you've always wanted to play the piano or are returning after years away, this course is designed to provide a comfortable, encouraging, and enjoyable introduction to music-making.
Our focus will be on building a strong foundation in piano skills while developing confidence at the keyboard. Students will learn proper hand position and technique, note reading, rhythm fundamentals, basic music theory, chord playing, and simple accompaniment patterns. Throughout the course, we will emphasize practical skills that allow students to begin playing familiar melodies and songs early in their piano journey.
No prior musical experience is required. Lessons will move at a supportive pace, providing opportunities for questions, hands-on learning, and individual growth. The goal is not perfection, but steady progress, increased musical understanding, and the joy of making music for yourself and others.
