My Grandfather was a Government employee stationed over in Asia during the early 1930's, and had this hand-made table designed and made by a local craftsman for his home; then had it shipped back when his job finished up and he was reassigned Stateside.

It measures 2 feel wide (supposedly my grandfather had to give the local craftsman an English tape measure to get it made in English, not Metric, dimensions!) and is 18" tall. As the pictures show, it is in excellent condition for being literally 90+ years old. And, it is a very sturdy design so that the fairly heavy (about 1 inch thick black marble top that was hand-etched and some of the etching areas colored) doesn't strain the table itself.

Being a one of a kind item like this, it is almost impossible to figure out a value for. In looking online, there are a few, not similar enough to reference, it the $550 and up range. Therefore, I feel that my asking price of $125.00 is very fair. To try to reproduce this today would probably run far in excess of $1,000.00. Buying this one you have a true handmade unique piece that because it was custom designed and made, I doubt you would ever see another one in a lifetime.
