Selling our virtually new 2022 Heartland Mallard IDM312 camp trailer, 36 total feet. The standard version of this is the M312 but Heartland makes an IDM version for Idaho specifically that has a few extra tweaks that help with the colder weather. From what Camping World says, it’s not quite a full “cold weather” or “arctic” package, but it’s similar. Only selling cuz we simply don’t use it like we had planned. We bought it on March 15, 2023 and patiently waited for warm weather, but even though by June that year it was warm enough to use we still only went out TWICE in 2023 (out of a planned 10+ camping trips). Since then it hasn’t been used, not even once in 2024 or 2025, and we’re not sure if we’ll use it in 2026 either. So this thing is in phenomenal condition, with only 2 camp trips total, still smells new. It comes with all of the accessories & essentials you need cuz I paid an extra $2,200 for their Extended Stay Package, which comes with everything you can think of for upkeep/operations, plus a multitude of other things, and I upgraded both batteries to Deep Cycle Marine. The propane tanks are still mostly full, I also added their 5 year exterior paint/surface protection package ($1,300) that keeps it from peeling or yellowing, and helps bugs/dirt/etc. wash off easier (similar to ceramic coating your vehicle). It essentially eliminates the need for a cover too. I’ve already taken a big loss on this thing, so we’re just trying to get out of the payments. As for book value, for some odd reason J.D. Power doesn’t list the IDM312 option so I was only able to pull values based off of a standard M312. The original MSRP on my specific IDM312 was over $56k (I’m happy to dig up that paperwork for proof if needed), but when you compare it to an identically optioned standard M312, the original MSRP was just over $52k. Since mine is the ID package it had an extra $4k value to start with. Having said that, for some crazy reason J.D. Power isn’t letting me pull current resale values on the M312 when I try to select all of the added options. It will give me the basic option values no problem, but if I try adding the appropriate options it will initially let me do that and shows me the average MSRP numbers…..but as soon as I click to finish and see the final totals it gives me a bogus page that states they “don’t have enough resale info to generate current values”. So it’s like their site is just glitching out right now. Which means for the time being, the only thing I can do, is go off of the values I pulled exactly 2 years ago and show a comparison. J.D. Power will allow me to compare the base option values, PLUS the average MSRP numbers on the selected add-ons, but it’s the low MSRP numbers that I’m having to sort of guess on. But the way I’ve done it is by just applying the same amount of depreciation as it shows to the average MSRP numbers. So, when I pulled the numbers in May 2024, the value on a 2022 standard M312 with identical options was average MSRP $44,050 and low MSRP $36,545…..but again, those numbers were based off of a model that already started at $4k less than an IDM312 model (which means the IDM312 would be more like average MSRP $48,050 and low MSRP $40,545 just for a general comparison, 2 years ago). With the new numbers as of June 2026, J.D. Power has the value at average MSRP $38,975 and low MSRP $32,085. But once again, that’s using a model that started at $4k less than my IDM312 (so for arguments sake, mine should be more like average $42,975 and low $36,085). With all of that said, and considering everything, I think $36,999 OBO is very fair, as that would still put it around the low MSRP (adjusted for my model), and this is a “next to new” trailer, not a beat up or heavily used trailer. Plus, mine will come with all of the extras previously mentioned (most of it still brand new), and I’ll throw in Tire Covers that I bought separate which are still new in the box, plus it has the paint protection. This thing has been stored indoors most of it’s life. I also bought a Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/Sway Control – Trunnion – 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW (C17500) hitch setup that I might be willing to throw in, for the right sale price on the trailer. It of course only has a handful of uses (the 2 camp trips, plus moving the trailer back & forth for services and storage). Paid $650 for it on sale, but for reference, I’ve seen them drop as low as $600 at times. ~Ask for Aaron (208-three1seven-3six7three) ***Will NOT respond to “is this still available”. If it’s still listed, it’s still available!!!***
