Both were purchased used to be used in projects that never transpired. Both were said to be in good condition without any issues. This is the extent that I know about these units.

#1 - Jeep Transfer case 249 J (249J) – This transfer case fits in 93-98 ZJ with a 249 full time 4X4 transfer case
The NP249 was manufactured with manual shift, it is a full-time, 2.72:1 ratio, and has a magnesium case has either 4WD full-time, neutral and low 4WD. These units have 23 spline inputs and 27 spline slip rear outputs.

#2 - Jeep Transfer case 247 J (247J) - This transfer case fits 99-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ with 4.0L & 4.7L engine. This is the Quadra-Trac transfer case with progressive coupler.
