VenmoChocolate Orpington hens that were chicks last fall. They started laying about 2 month ago, eggs are small/medium currently, a couple have started laying eggs closet to medium/large, but most need more time to mature. 13 hens, I'm collecting about 10 eggs a day on average.
$20 each. 13 total currently.
They are good hens, I simply have too many as my egg consumption has recently dropped (empty nester myself now). They are the most chill and friendly hens I've ever had. Sometimes they don't even a move out of the way as I am walking towards them, making me step over them, or push them out of the way. One especially is always up in my face as I was installing drip irrigation. Others are a little more normal, move away from me, but still very chill and friendly. A couple are semi-broody currently, but not fully committed. Rooster has been hard on the plumage of a couple, but that's just cosmetic and will grow back quickly.
