Offering frozen semen only
Rawhide’s Marshall Dillon (“Rip”) is a bay tobiano Singlefooter who has it all. He is double registered SHOBA and as a Racking horse. If you want to produce a horse with incredible looks, smooth movement, and a stout build, Rip is a great choice.
Rip’s sire is the one and only Coal Miner by Rowdy Rawhide. (See video of sire here: https://youtu.be/VmaxLWeR4FI?si=zlxZDbKNoks_JXnV). His dam is a Tennessee Walker mare out of Marshall Dillon lines (known for speed, as well as disposition).
As far as movement goes, Rip is very well gaited. He is smooth at every speed, which is unique for a speed horse. He has a silky smooth flat foot walk (5-8mph) and can rack anywhere from 9-19 mph. He crosses great with other gaited breeds because he has a slower gait, as well as faster gaits.
Rip stands 15.1 and is one of the most beautiful tobiano horses you will ever see. He’s stout and well made enough for any size rider. His disposition is gentle and he is super easy to get along with. He’s also surefooted and a dream to ride on the trail.
If you are looking to produce a gorgeous, smooth gaited horse with some speed, Rip would be an excellent choice.
Frozen semen only. (Rip has been a gelding for many years now, so live cover is not an option. One of his prior owners collected him as a youngster before he was cut, so we are fortunate to have his frozen semen to sell and use on our mares.)
Price in ad is for stud fee only, and includes one dose of frozen semen. One dose is typically enough semen to inseminate your mare twice, but this depends on how your vet uses it. Purchaser is responsible for paying for and arranging shipment of semen to their vet. Or, if you live in northern Utah and want to save on costs, you can pick the semen up yourself and save yourself the shipping costs.)
KSL Classifieds makes it easy to buy and sell with peace of mind. Check our safety tips and quickly report anything that doesn’t look right to keep your experience smooth and secure.
