Technically the industry jargon is "open box." But be clear, the components have never been removed from their plastic bags.
The exception is that I added a photo that shows the hi-hat pads partially revealed for proof of authenticity.
DISCLOSURE
The box was opened by the music retailer and two PD-8 tom pads and one CY-12C cymbal pad were removed and sold. The rest of the kit was never touched.
I took out some of the individual boxes and looked inside at the plastic-wrapped equipment just to verify what cymbal pad and tom pads were missing.
The TD-27 module is factory sealed, brand new, as are the stands that come in a separate box that has never been opened.
If you wish to complete the kit with more cymbal pads or tom pads you will find they are very affordable.
Don't settle for anything less than the TD-27.
And don't pay $2,000 for a used kit when you can save money on buying this new "open box" kit.
