VenmoWe have some Rhode Island Red Hens for sale. They are just 4 months old and have not yet begun to lay, but should start laying soon. This breed is a powerhouse egg layer. They lay around 265 Large Brown eggs a year. They are known as a flighty breed, but we have made an effort to interact with them as much as possible to help them be less flighty and nervous around humans. They are some of our more cautious birds when it comes to treats…but they will eventually approach us because they love treats. This breed tends to be great at foraging. They are a bit of a loner bird and are often very content to do their own thing, rather than interact with humans. They are friendly, but just not the snuggliest breed. That notwithstanding, they are a very family friendly bird that would do great in any flock.
