VenmoHi, I’m Nutmeg. I’m a 4 month old, handfed “frillback” pigeon. I’m handled a lot and raised indoors so I’m very tame, gentle and used to a cush life, tho I like going outside while on your shoulder so I feel safe.
I’m an “ash red grizzle” with curly feathers, feathered feet, and a very mellow personality. Dad thinks I’m probably a boy based on my coos, but I have not been DNA tested.
I sit on hands, shoulders, and can be picked up and carried around like the big baby I am. I’m gentle with kids, very quiet, and low maintenance. Even easier than a cockatiel or parakeet. No screaming or no chewing on furniture.
I get happy flappies when I’m excited to see my person. I start cooing and pacing when my Dad makes bird calls. I love marinating in my little hot tub a few times a week because bathtimes my fav.
I’m looking for an indoor pet home. My wings are currently clipped for indoor safety, and they can grow back with future molts. Ive not been raised around cats or dogs. Just other pigeons.
I come with my large Prevue flight cage (31”L x 20.5”D x 53”H), non-spill food and water containers, perches, and a bag of pellets that should last at least 10 days.
Dad is only placing me because he has to move somewhere that doesn’t allow animals.
Located in Lehi. Asking $50 for me, cage, and food.
