Blue Ox Patriot supplemental flat tow braking system with breakaway kit. Purchased new for towing my Jeep Wrangler behind my RV and no longer needed.

The Patriot brake system and breakaway kit retail for approximately $1,705 before tax. Mine is in excellent condition and includes everything that came with it when purchased new—even the original shipping baggies! I’ve also printed off the owner’s manual in case you’d like a hard-copy reference guide.

I honestly think this is an amazing braking system. What sold me on it was the wireless RF-connected controller. When you’re towing a vehicle behind a motorhome, it’s reassuring to know exactly what’s happening back there. The wireless display gave me peace of mind that the system was working properly and that I wasn’t accidentally burning out the brakes on my Jeep.

Everything can be monitored and controlled from the driver’s seat. It worked flawlessly throughout my entire coach—at least the length of my 35-foot Class A motorhome.

Once you’ve done it a couple of times, setup takes about five minutes. No permanent modifications are required, so it’s easy to move between tow vehicles if needed.

Supplemental braking systems like this are required by law in many states, but more importantly they make the roads safer for everyone. When you’re hauling a vehicle behind what is essentially a bus, having a quality braking system is worth every penny. Not to mention I’ve priced my Patriot in the same range as many of the cheaper manual systems that require permanent installation.

I have the unit set up in my garage and can demonstrate that it powers on, connects to the controller, and functions properly when you come see it.
