This is a rugged 3-pole, 240V AC, 100-Amp outdoor-rated disconnect switch housed in a rainproof NEMA 3R enclosure.
As the picture shows, it has 1 knock out punch that's 1.7" or 44mm in size on the left side. Price is reflected.
Why it's needed: If you are installing a residential or commercial solar PV system, National Electrical Code (NEC) mandates a heavy-duty, visible-blade, lockable physical disconnect switch located outside near your utility meter main. This allows emergency personnel or utility workers to manually pull the lever and instantly isolate the property from grid backfeeding or power production. This box is perfectly suited to meet that code requirement.
Condition Notes: The switch is in great structural and functional condition with clean internal mechanics.
