VenmoI’ve got a 1982 Yamaha Virago 750. I bought it in the fall and have been working on it little by little but I’ve got a new job this summer and no time. I’ve redone the starter, replaced the starting solenoid, and unseized the engine.
Here’s the list of the what the guy who worked on it before me said he did. • New keys • Both carburetors fully rebuilt + bench synced • New fuel petcock & fuel lines • Oil & filter change • Starter exciter wire repaired • Internal wiring harness issue fixed (was preventing 12V power to starter)
This is one of the quintessential cafe racers and the plan was to get it running and then convert it. Mechanically, she’s super clean and sound, just needs a little help starting which is typical with this generation of Viragos. There’s a ton of YouTube videos and forum posts to solve it but I don’t have time anymore.
