I've had this for a long time, originally came from Costco, it's worked great but it has started to smell hot, I have replaced it with a different mixer. It's my understanding vitamix will refurbish them at a reduced price over what they cost new, if you're interested in pursuing this, the Vitamix is free, just trying to keep it out of the landfill
