Meet Cosmo! He is an adorable young rat. We believe he is just a few months old. Cosmo came to us after someone got him as a feeder rat, but their snake didn't eat him. He is understandably a bit skittish, but he is very curious of humans. Cosmo is looking for an adopter or foster to adopt home to help him come out of his shell. Rats can be playful, energetic and cuddly animals. Some rat owners even say that rats have puppy like personalities! Rats are herd animals, so Cosmo will need to be adopted with another rat if you don’t already have any at home to do slow introductions with. Rats living requirements also include a 2ft by 2ft by 4ft enclosure with at least two levels and lots of substrate and enrichment.
