Taka is a 2.5-year-old, 45 lb bully/Akita mix with the sweetest heart and the best snuggle skills. She is the kind of girl who may take a little time to warm up, but once she knows she is safe, she is all in. Belly rubs? Yes. Couch cuddles? Absolutely. Car rides? She’s ready. Treats, Kongs, bully sticks, and learning new tricks? Taka says yes to all of it.

Taka is a loyal, affectionate, medium-energy dog who loves her people deeply. She enjoys other dogs and would love a playful dog friend, but her humans are her favorite place to be.

She is looking for a patient adopter who will give her time to settle in, continue positive reinforcement training, and help her keep building confidence. Once comfortable, Taka can be left alone for several hours without potty accidents or destructive behavior.

Because Taka has a strong prey drive, she needs a home with no cats and a secure 5–6 ft fenced yard. She may chase wildlife or livestock, so a safe yard and smart management are important for this girl.
