Maverick is a 13-year-old, 15.3-hand Warmblood × Thoroughbred gelding.
He is best suited for an intermediate or confident rider. Maverick has experience in both English and dressage and truly shines as a trail horse. He can be forward and get a little hot, so he isn’t the best fit for a beginner, but he’d make an excellent mountain or ranch horse for someone who enjoys spending long days in the saddle.
He participated in some 4-H last year but didn’t particularly enjoy the barrel events, so I wouldn’t recommend him as a 4-H gaming horse.
Maverick is an easy keeper with no history of lameness, trailers well, stands great for the farrier, and is currently shod for our rocky trails. He’s affectionate, has a wonderful personality, and genuinely enjoys having a job and being out on the trail.
The only reason he’s being offered is because I’m looking for a horse that’s better suited for my 7-year-old daughter. I would also consider a trade for a well-broke kids’ horse or a draft horse.
KSL Classifieds makes it easy to buy and sell with peace of mind. Check our safety tips and quickly report anything that doesn’t look right to keep your experience smooth and secure.
