Meet Abby ❤️ — 13-Year-Old royal quick dash/lanes leister-Bred Mare

If you’re looking for a kind, honest mare with a big heart, Abby is one you’ll want to meet.

Abby is a 13-year-old, 15.3hh chestnut mare with Dash For Cash breeding. She is a maiden mare, well broke, and truly one of the sweetest and most forgiving horses to have around. She tries incredibly hard to please her rider and has been wonderful with novice riders.

Abby has all the good-life skills: loads, hauls, bathes, stands for the farrier, ties, and is easy to handle. She has never offered to buck or do anything intentionally dangerous or mean.

She does have some go to her. Abby can get hot and excited, particularly when it comes to barrel work, so while she is forgiving to ride, someone wanting to continue her on the barrels should be comfortable managing a forward, enthusiastic horse. She has been exhibitioned but has not been entered and run in the open, so she still has plenty of room for someone to take her in the direction they want.

She can also be somewhat herd-bound and may get antsy when tied or left by herself. These are manageable quirks, but we want to be completely upfront so she finds the right home.

What we love most about Abby is her kindness, willingness, and heart. She genuinely wants to do the right thing and gives you everything she has. We've really enjoyed having her, and this is simply a case of having too many horses and not enough time to give her the attention she deserves.

She could make a wonderful horse for someone wanting a well-broke, seasoned mare to ride and enjoy, someone interested in continuing her barrel training, or potentially a broodmare prospect with her breeding.
