Originally each corner was leather covered, although a couple corners on this chest are missing or damaged. It features metal locks & closure. The key is missing but can probably be found online. The bottom is tin. The box is intended to open forward when it is attached to the automobile. The lining is original. These trunks were custom made because the early automobiles had no trunks!
