Joe is a 15-year-old, 16.3-hand draft cross gelding that has been an outstanding family horse for us. He has spent countless hours in the arena helping teach our kids how to rope and has proven to be patient, dependable, and forgiving.
He's a solid heading horse with plenty of experience and has been an excellent confidence builder for riders learning to rope. Joe stands quietly in the box, is easy to handle, and has the kind of disposition that makes him enjoyable to ride day after day.
Being a draft cross, Joe has the size, strength, and calm demeanor that make him incredibly versatile. He is stout enough for larger riders while remaining gentle and easy for less experienced riders to enjoy.
Outside the arena, Joe is an exceptional trail horse. He has been ridden extensively on trails and is steady, willing, and sure-footed. My wife, who is not an experienced rider, is comfortable riding him both in the arena and out on the trail, which says a lot about his temperament and reliability.
