Athena, better known around our place as "Tina," is an athletic Off-the-Track Thoroughbred mare with outstanding bloodlines and a bright future. Registered as Blushing Arc, she is by Archarcharch and out of Blushing Aura.
We have owned Tina for the past year and have spent that time giving her the education she never received after leaving the racetrack. Rather than transitioning into another career, she became a pasture pet for several years, so she got a late start learning her job. Since coming to us, she has been consistently started in the arena and is progressing nicely.
She has been started on both the barrel and pole patterns and continues to improve with every ride. Tina is athletic, quick-footed, and eager to work. She has the speed and talent to make someone a nice performance horse with continued training.
Tina is not a beginner's horse. She has plenty of motor and is definitely more "go" than "whoa." She is best suited for an experienced rider or someone working with a trainer who can continue developing her into the performance horse she's capable of becoming.
