Project Boat 1986 Marathon

I bought this project boat to flip. I was told the engine block was cracked, but it was an easy JB Weld fix. However, after all was done, the oil is coming out foamy. So, there is a water leak somewhere. Either the block is leaking internally or the intake is not sealed. Either way I am done working on this.

This is a Mercruiser 5.0 (305) with an Alpha One Gen 1 out drive. Compression is good and even on all eight cylinders.

Work done:

Reupholstered gunwales

Replaced bilge pump

Replaced Blower

Reglued carpet

New plugs

Replaced water separator

Carpet cleaning (professionally)

New seats

Cleaned all vinyl cushions

Packed bearings/ replaced one

Engine cover cleaned and replaced top piece

Tires (newer than the ones it came with)

Rebuild out drive (new impeller)

Cleaned and re-stained all teak

Buffed hull

There are some life jackets and towables included

I am into this boat well over $1500, so I am already at a loss, please don't low-ball.
