2016 Forest River Georgetown GT3 31B3 (Bunkhouse)
Title: Clean, in hand
If you’re looking to actually use your RV off-grid without constantly hunting for hookups or listening to a noisy generator all day, this is the setup for you. We have heavily upgraded the power system, internet, and climate control on this Georgetown to make it completely self-sufficient and comfortable for family road trips or remote work.
The Ultimate Off-Grid Power Setup
The biggest upgrade here is the electrical system. We removed the standard, weak factory house batteries and replaced them with a massive solar setup:
· 800 Ah House Battery Bank: 4 x 200 Amp Hour Renogy AGM batteries. You can run electronics, lights, and pumps for days without stressing.
· 400W Solar: 4 x 100-Watt Renogy solar panels mounted on the roof, paired with a Renogy Solar Charger and Bluetooth monitor.
· Generator: Built-in 4.0 KW Onan gas generator (perfect for running heavy appliances or fast-charging if you get a string of rainy days).
Premium Tech & Comfort Upgrades
· Reliable Internet: Installed a Peplink Max Transit Duo Pro Cellular Router. If you work from the road or stream movies, this gives you a rock-solid mobile Wi-Fi network.
· Upgraded A/C & Heat: Dometic AC unit with an integrated Heat Pump. This lets you heat the RV using electricity/battery power rather than instantly burning through your onboard propane tanks.
· Water Quality: Includes Camco Eco Water Filters and a dedicated Water Softener so you don’t ruin the plumbing with harsh campground water.
· Safety: TireMinder TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) included so you can monitor all tire pressures and temperatures in real-time from the driver's seat.
Layout & Features
· Family-Friendly Bunkhouse: Measures just under 32 feet (easy to maneuver into most state and national parks) but feels huge inside thanks to the layout and 82-inch high ceilings. Can Sleep 5 comfortably. 6 if you put one on the couch.
· 5 TVs Total: Seriously, no one will fight over what to watch. 50" main Smart TV, 32" master bedroom Smart TV, two individual TVs in the bunk beds, a outdoor entertainment TV under the awning, and a Pioneer dash system with Bluetooth/DVD.
· Tons of Storage: Features the "Super Storage" rear cargo setup and rotocast bins with drains—over 130 cubic feet of exterior storage space.
· Kitchen: Stainless steel sink, 3-burner stove, and a handy flip-up countertop extension.
Mechanical & Exterior Specs
· Chassis/Engine: Solid Ford F-53 chassis with the reliable 362 HP V-10 engine. Drives smooth and has plenty of power.
· Towing: 5,000-lb hitch capacity.
· Setup: Automatic hydraulic leveling jacks. Pull into camp, press a button, and you’re level.
· Cameras: Power side-view and rear backup cameras make driving and parking stress-free.
· Build: Seamless fiberglass roof and vacuum-bonded gel-coated sidewalls (no cheap rubber roofs to worry about rotting).
This rig has been meticulously cared for, properly maintained, and thoughtfully upgraded. It's ready to hit the road tomorrow.
