Kona is a handsome 17-year-old registered Paint gelding looking for his next partner. If you're searching for a versatile, trustworthy horse that has truly done it all, Kona is the one. This incredible gelding has experience in western and English, has been shown in both disciplines, enjoys hitting the trails, and is happy to pop over jumps. For the past year, he has been a dependable lesson horse, proving time and time again that he is patient, forgiving, and willing to take care of his rider. He is truly a baby sitter! Kona has the kind of personality that's hard to find. He is quiet, honest, and unbothered by just about anything. He doesn't spook easily, tolerates all kinds of kid antics and barn shenanigans, and is the same reliable horse whether he's in the arena or out on the trail. He truly has a heart of gold and is the type of horse that makes everyone who meets him fall in love. He has excellent ground manners and is easy to have around. He was previously trained as a western and english pleasure horse, with some hunter jumper experience! His last owners used him as a 4-H horse. Kona:\

This is an incredibly difficult sale for me because I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Kona. I absolutely love his personality, his gentleness, and his willingness to do whatever is asked of him. He has been one of those once-in-a-lifetime horses, and if circumstances were different, he wouldn't be leaving. Kona does have minor arthritis, which is well managed with a daily Previcox prescription. While he is happy and comfortable doing his job, the demands of being used in multiple lessons every day have started to leave him sore from time to time. Because of that, I want to do what's best for him and find him a home where he can enjoy a lighter schedule. He would be happiest with someone riding him 3–4 times per week, where he can continue doing what he loves without the wear and tear of a heavy lesson program. Whether you're looking for a family horse, a confidence builder, a 4-H or show partner, or simply a trustworthy companion to enjoy on the trails, Kona is ready to make someone incredibly lucky. My priority is finding him the right home where he'll be loved, appreciated, and able to enjoy this next chapter of his life.
