Kona is a handsome 18-year-old registered Paint gelding looking for his next home. If you're searching for a versatile, trustworthy, babysitter horse that has truly done it all, Kona is the one. For the past year, he has been a dependable lesson horse, proving time and time again that he is patient, forgiving, bombproof and willing to take care of his rider. This is an incredibly difficult sale for me because I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Kona. I absolutely love his personality, his gentleness, and his willingness to do whatever is asked of him. He has been one of those once-in-a-lifetime horses, and if circumstances were different, he wouldn't be leaving. Kona does have minor arthritis, which is well managed with a daily Previcox prescription. While he is happy and comfortable doing his job, the demands of being used in multiple lessons every day have started to leave him sore from time to time. Because of that, I want to do what's best for him and find him a home where he can enjoy a lighter schedule. He would be happiest with someone riding him 3–4 times per week, where he can continue doing what he loves without the wear and tear of a heavy lesson program.
