VenmoWe have some Production Blue hens for sale. They are just 4 months old and have not yet begun to lay, but should start laying soon. This breed is a cross between a Rhode Island Red and a Blue Australorp. They are gorgeous birds that have blue/gray bodies with red/gold necks. They lean a little toward the flighty/nervous side, but we have made an effort to interact with them each day to help them feel calm around people. They are very friendly and will eat our of our hand, but will run away to eat their treat in private. They are great foragers and love to wander our yard. They have a dominant temperament, but are very gentle with smaller birds (they were raised with a flock of mostly bantams). They would do well with any other birds, but will probably quickly make their way to the top of the pecking order.
We have 6 available.
They are $35 each.
