I have a used Presto pressure canner that is in good condition. It is the 12 quart model 02/CAA12H with only a weighted gauge. It does not have a dial gauge. this is probably the simplest type of pressure canner to use. The weighted gauge is the three-piece type. You can use it at 5 lb, 10 lb, and 15 lb. unless you are in St George you'd basically use 15 lb in Utah to do all of your canning. As soon as the weighted gauge starts to rock then you are at pressure. You can turn the temperature down and it will remain at pressure as long as that weighted gauge continues to rock. I have tested this canner. The gasket holds pressure.
