Chance’s story almost ended before it had the chance to begin.

This sweet 6-month-old Shepherd mix was rescued from a high-kill shelter in New Mexico after being placed on the euthanasia list simply because he was scared and shut down. Thankfully, he got his second chance—and what a transformation it’s been.

Now that he’s safe, Chance is absolutely thriving! His playful, goofy personality has come to life, and he’s become a happy, affectionate puppy who loves everyone he meets. He’s always ready for an adventure, a game of fetch, or a cozy nap on the couch after a day of fun.

He’s doing great with potty training, is crate trained, and already knows sit. Chance is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and would love an active family that will continue helping him build confidence and experience all the good life has to offer.
