We have found homes for 7 of the adult purebred Bengal cats that were rescued from a very difficult situation. We still have five remaining. They are now all spayed or neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Every cat is unique. Some are already beginning to trust people and, with time and patience, have the potential to become wonderful companions.

Available:

1 Sepia female approximately 5 years old. She has been around cats, children and dogs. She's fairly social and did well on a harness when we tried it with her.

1 solid seal mink female approximately 2-3 years old. She also did well on a harness but she has never been around dogs to our knowledge. She is pretty social and I do think she would do well with a family who had children and other pets.

1 seal mink male around 2-3 years old. He is extremely skittish and fairly aggressive if you try to interact with him. He would do best as a barn cat, or in an intensive behavioral rehabilitation program. In my opinion and the opinion of my vet, he would be happiest as a barn, or sanctuary cat. We have received a donation that will cover part of the vetting fee for this boy. His rehoming fee will be reduced to reflect that.

1 Brown male around 2 to 3 years old. He is fairly social but would probably do best in a home without other cats or young children. He did well on a harness but isn't a huge fan of a lot of handling just yet so earning his trust may take some time. He has IBS and will require a sensitive stomach diet.

1 Brown male around 4 to 5 years of age. He is very social with people, but does not like other cats. He would do best in an only cat home. I am unsure how he would do with dogs but I was told he had been around dogs when he was one to two years old. He did well on a harness.

These cats desperately needed to be removed from the environment they were living in. Unfortunately, none of the shelters or rescues in the owner's area were willing or able to take them in. As a last resort, the owner's children reached out to me for help. I agreed to provide temporary housing and care while we worked to find each cat a suitable home. To be clear these cats were very loved and well taken care of at one point, but their owner got dementia and their care declined over time as that disease progressed.

Unfortunately, because of my own responsibilities and my cattery, I cannot provide the amount of rehabilitation and socialization these cats truly deserve. Caring for this many additional cats is simply not sustainable long-term. I have reached out to multiple no-kill rescues, shelters, the Humane Society, and Best Friends, but due to kitten season and limited resources, they have all been unable to accept these cats. Most have encouraged me to continue networking and posting them in hopes of finding homes through the community.

The rehoming fee is a donation toward each cat's spay/neuter surgery and any medical care they have received while in my care. In just a short time, I have already spent thousands of dollars on veterinary care, food, housing, litter, and supplies. I chose to help these cats because they needed someone, and I'm not expecting anyone to reimburse all of those costs. My hope is simply to recover a small portion of what I've spent while easing the financial burden of continuing to care for them until they are safely placed.

If you are unable to adopt but would still like to help, donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. You can also sponsor a cat's rehoming fee, especially for one of the barn or working cats. If a sponsorship is available, I will gladly waive the rehoming fee for an approved barn or working home so that cost is not a barrier to giving these cats the safe placement they deserve.
