For sale is a complete set of 5 Globe-Wernicke G-25 V.L. Upright modular oak filing cabinets with original brass hardware. 1920's- Mid-century.
Details: 5 solid oak, heavy-duty units that stack together to form one large, impressive bank
Original brass pulls and label holders Green metal drawer interiors — all drawers slide smoothly and function perfectly
Two units in lighter oak finish, three with richer/darker patina (attractive vintage variation)
Finished left end panel on the outer unit
Classic Globe-Wernicke maker’s labels
Provenance: Originally used by the U.S. Government. Several drawers retain original Bureau of Indian Affairs / Office of the Interior labels. Imagine the historical documents these cabinets may have held!
The cabinets are solid on their own and stand securely without bolting, though the mounting holes all line up perfectly if you want to bolt them together with after-market hardware. They show honest vintage wear and patina from decades of government use. They could benefit from a good cleaning if desired, but many buyers prefer to keep the original aged character.
