Dahlia is a 5 y/o sorrel ex-racer who was retired from the track in late 2024. She is very athletic and sound, and an extremely quick learner, picking up anything I or my trainer work on for her within the same day. She retains information well and always remembers it the next time, no matter the time in between. I could see this girl doing anything, from barrels, to reining, to trail riding.

Since she is still young and being retrained, she'll need an experienced rider who will be firm and consistent with her. She's very sweet, but is young and learning. She knows how to lunge in the round pen and on the lungeline, she's not spooky in the slightest, and she stands for the farrier well. She can get a little claustrophobic in the trailer if gone a while without, but gets accustomed quick. I just never trailered her much myself, but she was trailered very often when she was a track horse and always did nice and quiet. She's good around dogs and other horses. Broke in a western saddle but to my knowledge she's never had an English saddle on her. She's had lots of work done with the trainer this year as well.

I really hate to let this girl go, but I can no longer afford to keep her and give her all she needs. She is the sweetest girl and loves hugs and treats, and I would like to find someone who will love her as much as I do, as well bring out all that athletic potential she has. She may not have a flashy color, but she sure is a stunning horse with her athletic build and naturally shining coat. She's taught me to really love the red horses just as much as any other pretty color.

She's up to date with all her health care-- spring vaccines and deworming, farrier, and teeth. PPE welcome at buyer's expense but she is sound and healthy to our knowledge.
