VenmoCheck out this rare find! A jet black mare who’s as brave and gentle as they get- this is Havanna. She trail rides as if she invented the mountain. She’s careful, brave and precise in her foot placement. She doesn't act out if other horses are misbehaving. You can ride her bareback in just a halter if you prefer. Havana loves trails; she's been to sand dunes, mountains, lakes, camping, swimming and more. Havanna crosses suspended bridges, any type of water, through tunnels, anywhere you want her to go she will. She’s great leading the pack, following behind or being squished in the middle. She is very well behaved with other horses, no kicking, biting, or any funny business.
Havana does great in the arena, although she has a big motor so I would say she’s NOT a beginner horse. Nothing dangerous, just fast. She knows barrels and poles goes through them great. She was used in a beginning western riding program for 3 years before we purchased her and before that was used as an english horse for 3 years. Havana has been used on the Young Living Drill Team for 6 months she performed and showed for the rodeos and events. She didn’t bat an eye at the flags she carried, the lights, the huge crowds, or the music. Seriously she was the bravest most incredible mare and acted like she’d done it a thousand times before. Havanna travels well, eats and drinks on the road and is good to trailer.
She’s pretty dang close to perfect but she does have a few things to know about. She can get claustrophobic. If you tie her too tightly while the farrier works on her she’ll start to tremble and has pulled back a few times. We learned to just hold her lead while the farrier works on her and she hasn’t had a single issue since. Also she isn’t my favorite horse to worm, she lifts her head nice and high and I’m short. I am very transparent and want to make sure there are no surprises for her new home.
Havanna is a grade mare the perfect age of 13 (vet checked teeth and said 12-13) and 14’3 hands. She' s sound, safe, and sane! This mare is the perfect partner for someone who loves to get out and adventure or do 4h that wants a safe mount. Vet checks are welcome. She has had all her vaccinations, teeth floated this year, and is up to date on worming.
We purchased this mare 2 years ago for our daughter who has lost all interest in riding unfortunately. Havanna loves to be ridden and needs a partner who is going to give her the time and attention she deserves.
