VenmoPower Supply Unit that I pulled out of my prebuilt HP Omen PC. 600 wattage. Fits inside my ATX sized 40L tower if that gives and idea of size (will be updating to exact measurements when I take them). Has mostly standardized cabling and hookups that are hardwired (this is not a modular unit).
Cabling details: 1 motherboard 24 pin connector, two 8 pin GPU connectors (these both Can be split into a 2 and 6 pin), 3 different SATA connectors, and two 4 pin CPU connectors.
I pulled this out due to a problem that it has. it still operates fine, and didn’t have any PC powering issues, or my pc completely crashing and turning off nothing like that. My PC would power fine and didn’t have any issues in that regard. This PSU has a distinct mechanical rattling sound, which I believe is most likely due to a worn out fan inside the unit.
I attempted to open it up (I know this is a no no, but I thought it might be worth a shot if I could replace the fan and continue to use the unit) and inspect the fan for damage but to no avail. The fan appears to look fine, but the rattling continued. So I replaced my unit.
Figured it might be worth a little something considering it still works, but someone who is more knowledgeable than myself, and maybe knows a few things about circuit boards and such it could be repaired if they know what they are doing. If I can’t find anyone who wants it I’ll take it to a repair shop and possibly sell it there.
