ZelleI’m looking to re-home my Emperor Angelfish to a new, suitable home for him. He’s very much my “pet”, so I’m not just giving him away to someone who won’t take care of him. He’s healthy and happy, and I want to know he’ll stay that way. He lives together with primarily tangs in my 150 gallon reef tank where he is fed seaweed twice a day (even though they’re carnivores, he likes his seaweed sheet), and meaty foods (brine, Mysis, krill, flakes) twice a day.
He’s begun nipping at my coral polyps. I was hoping keeping him fed well would prevent this, but it hasn’t. He’s always searching my rocks for something to nip. So he really needs to go into a FOWLR tank. He is a semi-juvenile, so his white “topo map” markings are beginning to change into the adult yellow straight lines. It’s pretty cool to watch him change each day. He’s about 4” long now, which is about twice the size he was when I got him eight months ago. He’s going to be a big, beautiful standout fish in someone’s tank!
