Luna “Tiny Moose” - Female, spayed 4 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Plott Hound mix needing to be rehomed.

She is a very loving, silly, loyal dog. She smiles when happy to see you and likes to press her teeth to the window to ask to come in. She loves the ball and being out in the yard with us, she’s truly a wonderful family dog until she becomes territorial.

She needs much stricter authoritative alphas who know how to keep her. She is very territorial and prefers animals over people except her immediate family. She really needs “work” to be best behaved. We’ve had her since she was 12 weeks old but weren’t prepared for her territorial instincts that we are unequipped to train nor do we have the lifestyle to maintain the structure she needs.

If interested, we’d like to see where she’d live to help prepare you for her nature to kick in. She currently lives with a cat and is very sweet with her, very good with our chickens (not a good herd dog, but good to the chickens…), and good with the horses and cow that are next door. We have 2 young kids and she’s very patient and loving with them. She’d be so happy on a farm with good work and good fences to tell her what to guard and animals to love.
