12-year-old Grade Quarter Horse gelding. He’s a project horse that I’ve ridden around 20–30 times. He does well in the arena and has a lot of potential, but he is a sensitive, high-alert horse that needs a confident and patient rider.
Interestingly, he seems to be more relaxed under saddle than he is on the ground. About a year ago, he got caught in a fence, leaving scars on his back legs. Because of that experience, he can be cautious about having his hind feet handled. However, he has made a lot of progress, and I can now pick up his back feet using a cotton rope.
We’re downsizing the amount of space we have, so unfortunately he needs a new home. With continued consistent handling, I think he’ll continue to improve.
Asking $1,000 OBO.
