The Shutter Clue: Early 1940s models often featured operable metal shutter frames. Due to wartime material shortages in the mid-1940s, Keystone transitioned to painting lithographed shutters directly onto the fiberboard. They uniquely decorated these shutters with icons like shamrocks, candles, or flowers.
