Venmo5-Year-Old Palomino Gelding – Ride or Pack
5-year-old palomino gelding with a small frame (14.2) but a big motor. He’s the kind of horse that can go all day, whether you’re gathering cows, trail riding, or heading into the mountains on a pack trip.
-Rides and packs -Great endurance and willing to work -Has packed out an elk with no issue -Sure-footed and enjoys being out on the trail -Crosses water and logs with no issue -First horse to meet you at the gate and loves attention We have never done any arena work with him, but had a trainer do some last year when he had him for 30 days and he said he did well. He’s mostly been used as a mountain horse up and gathered cows a couple of times up to this point.
He has a lot of energy and would do best if he has a job and is worked. With his energy/motor and age he would be best suited for an experienced or confident rider.
Health disclosure: He had squamous cell carcinoma removed from around one eye a little over a year ago. We were told that Squamous cell carcinomas do not metastasize and surgery is usually curative. The surgery was successful, and that veterinarian said it was all removed. We got another veterinarian’s option on it as well that said he would be good and he has had no issues since. We just wanted to be upfront so buyers know his health history. Besides that there has been no other health or soundness issues of any kind. This is a nice young gelding with many years ahead of him. Whether you’re looking for a ranch horse, trail partner, or dependable pack horse for hunting season, he’s ready to go.
