Beautiful, large-format Western artwork depicting the historic Santa Fe Trail, with covered wagons, oxen, travelers, Native American figures and wagon camp.
The artwork is by John Young-Hunter (1874-1955) and is identified in auction records as The Old Santa Fe Trail. The lower-left corner has the printed Young-Hunter signature.
What makes this piece especially interesting to collectors is the original A. Brandt Co. Ranch Oak label on the back, which specifically identifies it as:
RANCH OAK
“Santa Fe Trail”
Manufactured by A. Brandt Co, Inc. Fort Worth, Texas
It also retains and old Manor House Furniture dealer label from North Las Vegas, Nevada.
The substantial rustic oak frame appears to be the original period frame and complements the Ranch Oak style beautifully.
Size: Overall framed: 50” W x 29” H, Visible lithograph: 46.5” W x 26.5” H.
This would make an exceptional addition to a Ranch Oak collection, Western Americana collection, Santa Fe Trail collection, or vintage Western décor.
