Vintage Mid-Century China Hutch: Grandma Approved, Built Before Furniture Got Flimsy
They really don’t make them like this anymore.
This beautiful mid-century vintage china hutch belonged to my grandmother and has been in the family for decades. It’s finally looking for a new home, preferably one where someone appreciates real wood, great character, and furniture that doesn’t arrive in a box with 147 pieces and an Allen wrench.
Beautiful warm wood grain with tons of vintage character. Features:
• Sliding glass display doors • Two large display shelves • Spacious open serving/display area • Three drawers • Large lower cabinet storage • Original vintage-style hardware • Gorgeous wood grain throughout • Enough storage to hide an irresponsible amount of dishes, bourbon, or both
It would look fantastic in a kitchen or dining room as a traditional china cabinet, but it could also make an awesome coffee bar, cocktail/bar cabinet, bookcase, or vintage display cabinet.
This is a genuine family piece—not something made last year to look vintage. It was my grandmother’s, and while I can’t document the exact manufacturer or year, the construction and design are consistent with American mid-century furniture from roughly the 1950s–1960s era.
It has normal wear and character consistent with its age. I’d rather leave that history intact than pretend a decades-old piece of furniture just rolled off the showroom floor.
If you’ve been looking for a statement piece with an actual story behind it, this is the one.
Bring a friend. Grandma bought furniture back when furniture was HEAVY.
