VenmoDocumented pair of early Richard Schultz for Knoll lounge chairs from the iconic 1966 Leisure Collection, originally purchased in Utah on October 16, 1967.
These vintage mid-century modern outdoor chairs feature white-painted aluminum frames, woven mesh sling seats and backs, and dark brown sling supports.
The pair includes unusually strong original documentation:
• Original 1967 sales invoice identifying two lounge chairs
• Period advertisement featuring this chair design
• Original 1975 Knoll International letter regarding care of the “leisure furniture”
All original documents shown will accompany the chairs.
The chairs are being sold together in unrestored, estate-found condition. The mesh has substantial discoloration and staining, along with wear, fraying, separation, sagging and areas that appear to have been previously reinforced or repaired. The frames have chips, scratches, scuffs and finish loss. Knoll supplied touch-up paint to the original owner in 1975, although the paint is no longer included and it is unknown whether or where it was applied.
Both chairs appear complete but should be considered restoration projects. Professional restoration is recommended before regular use. Please review all photos carefully.
Sold only as a pair. Local pickup in the Salt Lake City area.
