I’m moving out before the end of my current lease, so Block 44 is allowing me to find a replacement resident.

This is not an informal sublease. You would:

1. Apply directly through Block 44

2. Complete their normal screening/approval process

3. Sign a new lease directly with the apartment management

You do not necessarily have to take over only the remaining months of my lease (April, 2027). Since you would be signing a new lease, the lease term can depend on the options Block 44 is offering at that time.

This could be a good option for a U of U student, graduate student, postdoc, visiting scholar, or employee who wants to live close to campus and Downtown SLC.
