Amazing 1995 Toyota 4Runner Rock Crawler. it has a low milage fuel injected 22RE motor, solid front axle swap with hi-steer, 5.29 gears, locker front, welded rear, dual transfer cases with 4.7:1 gears and twin stick shifting in the rear case, new 38x15.50 Nitto Mud Grapplers (cost over $2000) and I'm sure a lot of other things I'm fogetting. It has very soft suspension with great flex. It may not win you a beauty contest, but it will go anywhere you want and carry 6 people doing it (has 1 extra folding jump seat in the back).
It runs awesome and has been so reliable. In the 10+ years I owned it, it's never left me stranded, and I've only broken one axle shaft. With this rig, you won't be the one broke down on the trail or stuck, but the one helping your buddies fix their Jeeps haha (..mostly kidding Jeep owners).
I have a set of 37s with about 30-40% tread I can put on for the lower sale price.
There is currently a clicking at low speed/light growl at higher speed from the transfer case area that I haven't had time to investigate yet. Might just be a ujoint on drive line, maybe a bearing on the output shaft? It's done it for a while and since I only use it as a rock crawler going slow it hasn't really bothered me. If I get the time to get it fixed I'll likely raise the sale price. It drives fine as is, just gets noisier at higher speeds.
This 4Runner is just getting broke in with only around 160k miles on it. I have a lot of new parts for it (steering joints, chromoly axle shaft etc) and a lot of spare used parts including an entire other 4runner without the engine/transmission/transfer case. (That's where the red door came from).
This is currently built as a dedicated trail rig not a freeway cruiser. It is not street legal and must be trailered to the trails. The paint is not perfect, the speedometer doesn't work, she has some leaks, and as you can see in the pics, it's got some small dents and the front windshield is cracked. It is registered as an ATV, but it wouldn't take much to get it a street lagal ATV registration if you wanted (wire up front turn signals and the horn, get a speedometer cable extension and replace windshield if that's required).
Text me with questions or if you want to come take a look.
$6000 as is on the 38s shown and with the extra 4runner for parts.
$5000 as is with the 37s only.
My family has loved owning this for many years, but as the kids get older, our hobbies are changing and I do not have time to use it anymore. It's painful to see it sit.
