This is Cricket. She is a 12 year old gaited bay dun Molly mule. 14.3 hands tall. We bought her for my husband but have realized she needs a more experienced and consistent rider. She is the first mule we have owned so we have no experience with mules. The guy we purchased her from rode her in the mountains and hills and she did fantastic for him and said that she has been packed on. He had told us she needed some more miles put on her to build her confidence.

Her pros is that she is not ear shy and loves getting ear scratches, she is easy to catch in the pasture, she takes a bridle amazing, is great with her feet for the farrier, and loads in the trailer great. She does great with the clippers when we trim her mane and is great around dogs. She is such a sweetheart and when she does let her guard down she loves attention.

Her cons, being fully transparent, neither me or my husband have enough experience or time to help cricket build her confidence with us. When she is being rode she walks out and trots great but there are random times that she seems to “grab her butt” and tense up for a couple steps and we cannot figure out why she does this. She has not bolted or took off with us.
